We all need encouragement when it comes to evangelism. I went to school at a Baptist Bible College in Dallas and each week we were encouraged to go out on our lunch breaks or after class and prayerfully look for opportunities to share the gospel with those in our community. Frequently, our professors led us outside in groups to do this together. No matter how many times I did this, I was intimidated each and every time. Similarly, during my time as a staff member at Covenant Fellowship Church (Glen Mills, PA), Jim Donohue led the charge in regularly exhorting us and leading us out to share the gospel with those in our community. And every time I did this I was fearful! But God met me every single time.
I thank God for gospel men and women whose hearts ache to see the gospel reach the lost. I want me heart to beat that way more and more. And so I am grateful that my friend, Jim Donohue, has put together a free ebook on evangelism to share with us. Jon and I want to encourage you to download this wonderful resource (free of charge!) and consider reading it together as a family. You will find that it is not a challenging read, though it may challenge your soul!
However you choose to use it, may the Spirit of the Lord fill you as you consider how God might use you to share His love with the people He has placed in your life.
